As part of our school lunch program, Charghare School urgently needs an additional building where the food can be prepared and the children can eat their meals. The meals are currently prepared in a small washhouse or outdoors.
For several years we have been supporting the school by financing a school lunch program. During our visit to the site in April, we were asked for a separate building for the kitchen and dining room. The meals are currently prepared in a small washhouse or outdoors and are eaten in the classroom.
The students at Charghare school come from poor backgrounds and often do not have enough food to muster their energy for the day. We still want to make sure the children get a nutritious meal so they can focus on their education.
