Many thousands of visitors travel to Nepal each year. A number of these visitors developed a more intense bond that goes beyond an occasional hike. They come with open eyes and an open heart. They even offer our country their material and moral help. Germany is one of the most important partners for Nepal in the field of institutional cooperation as well as the cooperation of non-governmental organizations. Nepalmed and Arne Drews I have known for many years and admire its diverse volunteering for Nepal. In this book, the German and Nepali writers write about their experiences during this work. It is clear that small obstacles can arise but they can be considered and overcome with passion and a wink. I see these stories as a contribution to international understanding and wish the book many readers.
