Young artists, who often lack mentoring and support, often fall into the clutches of sexual predators. The lack of a supportive community and often family in Kathmandu unfortunately often leads to a form of abuse and traps them in a toxic cycle with no way out.
To change this situation, Kaalo.101 offers a so-called “Safe House”, which is specially designed for people in difficult and challenging situations. The aim is to provide a caring, non-judgmental space where individuals seeking protection can feel safe and supported. Beyond physical safety, the space will promote emotional support, understanding and a sense of security to empower individuals to regain their self-confidence and begin the journey to healing and recovery.
In addition to the community aspect, a dedicated caregiver will be available around the clock to provide supervision and assistance with household chores and meals. The safety and well-being of the residents is guaranteed. In addition, therapists and legal experts are on hand to provide comprehensive support. Up to eight people can be accommodated.
