Background In rural Nepal, a lack of menstrual hygiene often leads to: absenteeism from school and health problems and stigmatization Many schools do not have access to safe, hygienic menstrual products. Together with the Rotary Club of Gorkha, we want to install more sanitary pad dispensers and associated disposal machines (incinerators) for girls in the secondary schools of Gorkha.
Goal of the campaign
Financing and installation of sanitary pad vending machines at selected schools in the Gorkha district:

- The cost of a donation machine is EUR 120, an incineration machine costs EUR 220. 100 schools in the Gorkha region are to be equipped in total. The machines have been installed at 10 sample schools and have been well received.We want to supply a further 20 schools. The schools and local authorities have agreed to maintain and operate the bindings and to provide them.
